El típico estilo gabacho de hacer Metal: buenas guitarras, buen vocalista y potente sección rítmica, todo cohesionado por una producción competente. “Warriors of the night” como que era la rola que debió de iniciar el disco en lugar de “Runaway”, que no es chafa, lo que pasa es que es muy baladosa y la otra es más potente. De todas formas, las ocho canciones que conforman el disco valen la pena. El eficiente trabajo en guitarras de Jerry y James es apreciable en todo el disco, y gracias a todos los dioses, no se la pasan acaparando el espacio con riffs aburridos, y si se le suma que la voz de Kevin es atractiva , tenemos en consecuencia un puñado de rolas que se nos pegan en la memoria como garrapata. Si uno juzgara al grupo por la portada, se iría con la finta de que se dedicaban a hacer rolas de caballeros medievales bien cabrones, pero en realidad no es el caso, ejemplo son “Tell me why” y “Dont say Goodbye”, que son comerciales, pero muy buenas, fácil para entrar en el radio y ser todos unos hits. “Rock’s alive” es muy movida, hasta para hacer headbang, o sea, más para el gusto de los Heavys de hueso colorado y podrido. “Told you not to run” es muy pesada, pero no decae pues trae varios ganchos que la mantienen interesante, aun para el escucha más exigente. Una balada con lira acústica es la que termina el disco: “Someday”, que no tiene nada de apantallador y que no tiene mucho para comentarse. Otro buen discote que se lo merecen los que aún creen en el Metal ochentero.

Here we have the typical American way of making metal: good guitars, a good vocalist and a powerful rythm section, all made coherent by a competent production. “Warriors of the Night” is the song that should have started the album instead of “Runaway”. The latter isn't bad but what happens is that it sounds like a ballad while the other one is more powerful. Anyway, the eight songs that make up this album are worth a listen. The efficient guitar work of Jerry and James can be appreciated throughout the disc, and thanks to all the gods they do not fill up the songs with boring riffs. If you add on top of that the appeal of Kevin's voice, what you get is a bunch of songs that will stick to your memory like a leech. If one judges the band by the look of their front-cover, they will be under the impression that they indulge in writing very crappy songs about medieval knights, but in reality it is not the case. For instance “Tell me why” and “Don't say Goodbye” are very good, if mainstream, songs that would easily be hits if they were broadcasted on wave. “Rock's Alive” is full of action that will induce headbanging or, let's say, it will be to the taste of the heavy-metallers, those who are dedicated to the rotten bone. “told you not to run” is really heavy but doesn't fail to bring many hooks which keep it interesting, even for the fussy listener. A ballad with an accoustic lyre rounds off the album; it's called “Someday” and has nothing exceptional in itself and doesn't offer much to comment. Another good record which ought to be heard by those who still believe in 80s metal.
